The Art School of the Aegean is a unique summer program offering an artistically enriching experience overseas. The School provides weeks of creative interaction with students and practicing artist from the United States and Europe amid the rich cultural of village life on Samos, one of the most verdant of the Aegean Islands. The mystery of foreign places, experiences and change, have assisted many artists with their creative process. One discovers a great deal about one-self, relations with other people and, very importantly, another culture.Since 1991, the Art School of the Aegean has provided an opportunity for those interested in pursuing their art in a small Greek village where the relative simplicity of living offers a welcome alternative to our more complex lifestyle. Samos is a place where individuals can focus on their work and be renewed by exploring new terrain and the richness of Greece without distraction.
